Clinical Team Leader - Registered Nurse

About the role:
As a Clinical Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, resident-focused care. You’ll work hands-on on the floor, providing direct care and clinical oversight, while also mentoring and coaching other Registered Nurses to grow their skills and confidence. You’ll lead by example, support and develop clinical staff, and ensure compliance with health and disability standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership position where your clinical expertise and people skills will make a real difference.
What you'll be doing
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and documents
- Work on the floor to deliver and oversee resident care
- Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to nursing and care staff
- Ensure best practice care is delivered consistently
- Manage risk, quality, and compliance with sector standard
- Oversee infection control, wound care, and medication management
- Coordinate with GPs, pharmacies, and allied health professionals
- Lead audits, care planning, and staff development initiatives

What we're looking for:
- Current New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in New Zealand
- Proven experience in aged care or hospital-level care is desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Computer literacy and familiarity with interRAI assessments
