Location: Radius Millstream, 20 Hanrahan Street, Allenton, Ashburton 7700

Hours of work: Casual, as and when required.

Candidates must:

• live locally, and be able to work across a 24/7 rotating roster
• have a current Level 4 caregiving qualification and NZ aged care experience
• have experience across all care levels: rest home, hospital, and dementia care

For the right candidate, there is a possibility of being offered a fixed term full time contract from November onward.

Note: Radius Care cannot support a work visa/visa change for this role. Applicants must be either NZ citizens or residents, or have an open work visa with at least one year until expiry.

About the role:

Provide exceptional care to our residents under the guidance of a Registered Nurse. Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Work closely with a team to implement our individual care plans. Full training provided.

Duties include:

• Undertaking personal cares, while encouraging residents to make decisions that promote independence
• Promptly completing delegated tasks in a timely manner
• Responding quickly to resident requests, providing them with useful, relevant information
• Maintaining and updating resident healthcare records
• Assisting with handover of residents at shift changes

Skills and Experience:

• New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing and experience are desirable
