People and Capability Advisor

Location: Radius Support Office, 56 Parnell Road, Parnell, Auckland
Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
About the role:
As a People and Capability Advisor, you will be an integral part of our employment team, providing essential support and advice across various human resources activities. You will collaborate closely with the wider People Team to deliver timely, consistent coaching, advice, and support to our managers. Your role will also involve offering administrative support and guidance on HR-related matters whilst ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
Provide HR expertise to our managers, based on policies, practices, legislation, and case law.
Resolve workplace issues, conduct investigations and disciplinaries ensuring best practices are in place.
Support personal grievance responses and effective dispute resolution.
Advise managers on solutions, risks in business decisions and change management processes.
Build employee capability with the wider People Team.
Maintain and update employee records.
Support performance appraisal processes.
Participate in HR projects like wellbeing programs and engagement surveys.
Review and streamline employment practices, policies, and procedures.
Collate and analyse reports on key metrics.
Support Health & Safety as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge of HR practices and legal regulations.
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
Understands relevant legislation and keeps up to date on case law and HR trends
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
Availability to travel to our facilities when required.
