About the role:
This is a hands-on senior clinical role for an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys supporting others and leading by example. You will use your strong clinical judgement to deliver high-quality, person-centred care, while also providing day-to-day clinical support and coaching to the RN team.
You will work closely with residents, families, and the wider care team, contributing to positive clinical outcomes and a supportive team environment.
Duties include:
Provide safe, high-quality, person-centred nursing care
Monitor changes in residents’ conditions and behaviours and respond appropriately
Administer medicines and oversee medication management
Wound assessment and wound management
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Support, coach, and clinically guide Registered Nurses and care staff
Assist with clinical decision-making and escalation of care when required
Reassure and educate residents and their families
Initiate and manage appropriate treatment in emergency situations

Skills and Experience:
Current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate
Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
Experience in aged care or another relevant clinical setting
Strong clinical judgement and assessment skills
Confidence in supporting and coaching other Registered Nurses
Comfortable in a hands-on clinical role
Good computer skills with clear and concise documentation
Strong people skills and genuine empathy for residents and families
